  The host was rude and didn't acknowledge we even walked in the door. Once I introduced myself and we were seated by the host, the server gave us menus and offered us something to drink. We were still looking over the menu by the time she came back and she said, "did you both need more time to look the menu over?" And before we could answer, she said, "what would you like?" So we quickly made our decisions, and felt rushed. It was 11:30 am and the restaurant was 1/6th full, so it's not like there were guests waiting to be seated. I ordered the filet mignon, medium rare. The steak came to me well done. I wished if you are ordering the best steak that the restaurant offers, the least the waitress/staff could do is wait for you to cut into your steak before taking off for 5ish minutes. I also took a picture of my well done steak and posted it to the photo section. Once the waitress came back, she agreed that was a well done steak and asked if I had time for another to be made. I had plans at 1, and by that time it was 12:15. She said it would be about 15 minutes. I was hungry and choose to order another one, knowing I would have to rush to eat in order to make my prior engagements. We were sitting next to the entrance to the kitchen and could hear her yell to the cook. The second steak came out great, and was delivered by the manager. The server all of a sudden became nicer once the manager involved herself. My husband was almost done with his meal by the time mine came. Most restaurants will comp a dessert or take a percentage off of the meal if they mess up the experience, stanfords did not do that. My advice is to anyone coming; order their Mac and Cheese, or something simple/easy, and save the steak for a steakhouse. At least our waters were always topped off, which is why I gave this place a two star. We won't be coming back for good water service.
